Kate Burke, OTD, OTR
Dr. Kate Burke has practiced occupational therapy in skilled nursing and acute rehabilitation settings for over 22 years. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of OT at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.
She is a graduate of Worcester State University and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
Kate is passionate about helping occupational therapy practitioners get comfortable and competent in addressing sexuality and intimacy occupations in practice.
She has presented posters and short courses on sexuality topics at the MAOT & AOTA conferences, the Virtual Geriatric Summit, and several colleges & universities including Bristol Community College, Regis College, Johnson & Wales University, Colorado State University, Stonehill College, and Baylor University.
